Matthew 1:1 Read

The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the Son of David, the Son of Abraham:

Here his genealogy is given with special mention of those two ancestors who laid hold, by faith, of the promise given.

Matthew 6:6 Pray

When you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.

He who prays to God must believe that he exists and rewards those who seek Him.

Matthew 2:2 Seek

"Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him."

"I will get up now and go about the city....I will search for the one my heart loves (SoS 3:2)

Matthew 7:7 Ask

"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you."

When he asks he must believe and not doubt.(James1.6.)

Matthew 3:3 Prepare

For this is he who was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah, saying: "The voice of one crying in the wilderness: "Prepare the way of the LORD; Make His paths straight."

John came to prepare the way for Him who was to come. Are we preparing for his return?

Matthew 8:8 Believe

The centurion answered and said, "Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed.

Are we as sure that Jesus will heal in answer to our prayer and can we hear him say "As you have had faith, your prayer is granted."?

Matthew 4:4 Feed

He answered and said, "It is written, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God."'

We know that bread is given for our good, are we getting the same benefit from God's word?

Matthew 9:9 Follow

He saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax office. And He said to him, "Follow Me." So he arose and followed Him.

When He calls, do we get up and follow Him in faith?

Matthew 5:5 Take Courage

Blessed are the meek, For they shall inherit the earth.

"Do not be afraid little flock: the Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom" (Lk 12:32)

Matthew 10:10 Go out

Nor bag for your journey, nor two tunics, nor sandals, nor staffs; for a worker is worthy of his food.

" Do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or your body what you will wear."(Lk 12:22)
