I have built a V8 locost which has passed SVA. I intend to move permanently to France in about 2 years time. Would I be able to take it to France and register it there? I know the French bureaucracy is pretty formidable. Hope you can help me.
thanks Peter Murray peter.murray99@tiscali.co.uk 20060129

LINCOLNSHIRE GROUP ANNOUNCEMENT.
Having set this group up, the first "Locost Car Club Local Group" Seven years ago to help & encourage new builders in the area I have decided that as from the end of December 2005 I will be standing down as group coordinator. SEVEN years in office seems an appropriate number of years given the type of car the Locost is to serve the group. I still intend to go to the meetings etc, but for various reasons I am finding it more difficult to commit myself to being at the meeting venue without fail each month at a set time. I will more than likely still be there but not Quite as early & for not as long as in the past. If anyone out there is willing to carry on as group coordinator please contact me. Meanwhile may I take this opportunity to thank every one I have been involved with over the years with LOCOST, I have had some tremendous fun and met some smashing people along the way. LONG LIVE THE LOCOST!

Thanks for your help, Roy Busby

Toyota Corolla donor
Amadeu Pires writes from Portugal to say that he is building a Locost from the normal plans but with the engine / drivetrain from a 1978 Toyota Corolla. He has a fairly full photographic record of the build if you are interested - look at http://www.viseudesign.com/Sevenesque.htm

Top Gear magazine are doing a short article / interview, including a photo, of a.n. other locost owner who built his (or her) car for a very small amount of money. If you spent pennies (well, say a couple of hundred pounds) on your locost, you still have the car and would like to have it featured in the magazine, please contact
