I have a Toyoata Celica XT
sitting in the garage, that I was going to break to help finance some
suspension for our Locost build! The car is
an '85, very good
mechanically, 79,000, 2.0L 21R engine, 5 speed box, independent rear
end, alloys, nice interior but bad body!
We were going to break &
advertise the bits on ebay, but would anybody want to buy it whole?

Hello, I am not a locost owner and at this time am unable to plan the resource into building a car. I have however stumbled across a 1.8 H-Plate Sierra estate with good running gear. For sale
Toyota 4AGE engine has been completly stripped and cleaned. Block has been painted black. Bottom end has been plastigaged and micrometer measured and all as per manual. Bores have been measured and all ok. New crank seals fitted. Head has been chemically cleaned, new valve stem seals fitted, valves ground in. Engine has been assembled but sump has not been sealed. I am asking £350 for the engine with starter,alternatorand flywheel. I can supply the inlet manifold modified to fit under a Locost bonnet along with all the parts to run on the original injection system. This engine was going to fit into a new car but I have gone into Zetec territory. I have had a previous car fitted with a 4AGE running on the original injection and it is a superb engine.Gave me around 45 m.p.g and went like stink.
